Garry and I have been married for over 24 years and in that time we have never had a garden of our own. The main reason for that is we haven't stayed in one place for any length of time. The other seems to be that if your line of work consists of gardening or working with plants, you don't quite seem to have the time to carry out gardening at home. Garry has been a professional nurseryman since 1976 and we have owned and operated three wholesale nurseries over the last 25 years. As you can appreciate, the gardens that we have created require a tremendous amount of plant material, so we are slowly increasing the size of our current nursery and greenhouse area to produce the plants that we need.

In 2015 we found this little bit of paradise, and have no intention of moving again! The property, when we moved in did not have any gardens, just fields and a few mature trees. That set the wheels in motion for designing our ultimate garden, and one that we would like other people to enjoy. So you can imagine the fun it has been putting all our ideas into motion and creating our own English Country Estate Garden. This includes our large Koi Pond and 15ft waterfall, a 1 acre Cottage Garden, a Formal Gallery, a Rock Garden, Courtyard Gardens and due to be completed by spring 2021, an Italian Sunken Garden. We also have something else special planned but do not have a timeline set for this yet. This is definitely a labour of love!
Three years on and the decision was made to offer our gardens as a beautiful venue for weddings and special occasions. We also open the gardens on limited days to enthusiastic gardeners. With all the appropriate paperwork in place from the township for the approval, and the AGCO for the alcohol license we were ready to go. A rather large amount of re-design was needed to provide a lovely reception area where we bring in the correct sized reception tent for the size of wedding, a caterers tent, a bride's tent, cocktail area and beautifully manicured lawns with ample space to play lawn games or for guests to mingle.
Not only are our stunning English Gardens available for the bride and groom for their ceremony site, of which we have six! but for their photos, and also for the guests to wander before the reception dinner.
In the summer of 2015 our daughter got married and it was our experiences with her wedding that determined what we wanted to offer in our packages. Probably the most significant was the Friday set up and Sunday tear down. It can't be stressed enough that 2 hours on the morning of the wedding to set up is definitely not enough!
Since we opened as a wedding venue we have had the most amazing time, meeting wonderful couples and their families and working with them to provide a wedding of their dreams.
